Bristol Light Festival: 3rd – 12th February

Running across 10 days and two weekends, making it the longest-running edition to date, Bristol’s iconic light festival will bring colour, light and play to city centre spaces with a series of commissions from local and internationally renowned artists. The festival will take visitors along several different routes from Cabot Circus to Park Street, discovering various installations along the way. Find out more about this event here.

Slapstick Festival: 14th – 19th February

Slapstick Festival, a celebration of silent and classic screen comedy, returns this month with the help of an impressive line-up of celebrity guests. Michael Palin, Rob Brydon, Lucy Porter, Stephen Merchant, Harry Hill and Nigel Planer will be among the entertainers taking part in live events being staged at Bristol Old Vic, the ex-IMAX cinema at Bristol Aquarium, St George’s and Watershed. My Fair Lady at the Hippodrome: 15th – 25th February

The Lincoln Center Theater's critically acclaimed, multi-award-winning production of My Fair Lady is on tour after a triumphant West End run. My Fair Lady tells the story of Eliza Doolittle, a young Cockney flower seller, and Henry Higgins, a linguistics professor who is determined to transform her into his idea of a "proper lady". UWE Illustration Degree show at the Tobacco Factory: 1st – 26th February

This exhibition will showcase 3rd Year UWE Illustration students' work. All work is for sale and all proceeds will go towards fundraising for the final graduation show! On the 2nd of February an opening night will be held, the night will include drinks and draws, caricature drawing, badge making and rubber stamp printing, as well as a raffle. Six Nations Rugby at Racks: 4th February – 18th March

Catch all the Guinness 6 Nations Rugby action at Racks! Listed by The Telegraph & Bristol 24/7 as one of the best places to watch rugby in Bristol! As always, Racks are giving you the opportunity to reserve a seat/table to watch the 6 Nations matches. Photo Open exhibition at the Royal West of England Academy: 28th January - 1st May 2023

The RWA Photo Open celebrates contemporary photographic practice in all its forms. This Open Call exhibition invited submissions from artists and photographers, at any stage of their careers, who create photographic work or explore the nature of photography in their work.

All exhibits in the Photo Open will be for sale and once the show opens can be purchased from the RWA shop online and at the RWA.

Wildlife Photographer of the Year at MShed: 19th November 2022—29th May 2023

Wildlife Photographer of the Year is back at M Shed with a brand new set of images capturing the breathtaking diversity of the natural world.
